Read Between De:Wines: To Kill a Mockingbird - Part 2
Following the inaugural session back in June, tickets are already flying out for Chapter 2 which will be on Tuesday 3 September at 7pm. The democratic vote opted for 'To Kill a Mockingbird' by Harper Lee for our next book choice. You may have studied it once upon a time at school, but it’s one of the best loved stories of all time. It was an instant bestseller and went on to win the Pulitzer Prize.

If you’re unsure of what to expect at our book club, it’s a very relaxed evening with Howard, former Head of English at the Grange, leading thoughts and discussion of the book (participation is by no means obligatory). Philippa will lead the interludes by presenting a few wines with (possibly tenuous) links to the book, sharing further tales behind the labels.
Chapter 1 was a raging success and we’re all very much looking forward to Chapter 2. Plenty of time to add this to your summer reading and enjoy delving into an all-time classic.
Tickets cost £25 and include a few nibbles and a couple of glasses of wine. Call in for tickets, or call 01606 882101.
PS. There will be an option of a £10 upgrade to your ticket to include our welcome cocktail of the night, as drunk in Alabama, an Old Fashioned.
