Bonsalto Tuscan Wine Dinner
We discovered Bonsalto late last year, and many of you have realised since what all our fuss was about! We’re delighted to welcome mother and daughter, Francesca and Rebecca (see fruit picking pic) to Sandiway just after Easter to share their tales and their wares. Just as we’re outside Cheshire’s golden triangle, Bonsalto are outside Tuscany’s most famous wine regions, but equally proud of their place and their calling. In the heart of Tuscany, at Montespertoli, just outside Florence, a region with an ancient history of winemaking. Their vineyards are planted with ancient native varieties: Sangiovese, Colorino, Malvasia Nera and Bianca, and Boggione and with a little help from superstar winemaking consultant Emiliano Falsini, create a range of characterful, expressive, utterly delicious wines. You can explore the range (and tuck in!) here.
We’ll pair them with the following menu:
Bonsalto Rosso
Tuscan Charcuterie e Formaggi
Declivio Bianco
Swordfish with confit lemon, capers and fennel salad
Primo Marzo Boggione
Parmigiana di Melanzana
Sette Grazie Malvasia Nera
Gnudi with Tuscan sausage ragu
Sopralago Sangiovese
Beef fillet braised in Sangiovese
Dessert
Cantucci with Pistachio Mascarpone
Tickets cost £100pp. Please call our hotline 01606 882101 for tickets, or better still, pop in and we’ll give you a taste of the Bonsalto Rosso.
