Helen Thompson

Helen was born in Warrington, escaped for a while, but returned to Cheshire some 23 years ago.

A love of maths and logic inevitably led to a career in accounting where she has enjoyed insights into various industries from printing to air-conditioning, working up from accounts clerk to producing final accounts and dealing with audits. Helen has served time working for various accounting practices but much prefers being at the coal face, so joined Define in September 2018. More of Helen’s time is spent chasing Jon for receipts than it is chasing trade accounts for payment!

Married to Simon with two adult children Oliver and Holly. An avid reader of books and a keen watcher of films. Aside from taking their new dog Ted for a long walk, Helen’s happiest sitting with a glass of something people watching.

Greatest achievement:

Beating 5 men on a rally course at Oulton Park to take the chequered flag.
