Connor joined us as Sous Chef at the turn of 2023. His passion for food stretches as far back as his memory, often baking bread and making fresh pasta with his parents at the weekend as a toddler.

He began with a casual job working on the starter section at a small hotel in Frodsham. He then dived in full time with an apprenticeship before working his way up in decent establishments across the Wirral. Connor stepped back from a Head Chef position at a popular Wirralian pub to a) spend quality time with his soon-to-be wife, Hilary (our deli manager) and their daughter, Hazel; b) work with Richard!; c) work with high quality ingredients, prepared fresh to order.

Con’ supports Richard brilliantly, is seemingly unflusterable and frequently suggests imaginative tweaks to dishes for our new menus.

Greatest achievement:

Riding every Rollercoaster on the continent, whilst eating pickled onion Monster Munch.

Secret I don't share:

My guiltiest pleasure is a fondness for cheesy 90's pop, although I pretend to like thrash metal to impress Richard.

Superpowers:

I have the ability to consume an alarming amount of Nutella at an unprecedented rate (much to my family's disgust!)
