You may think I'm mad, but a) the world isn't flat, b) I'm 36, not 50 and c) you can match wine to music.

The best way to prove you're right is to disprove the opposite. To prove the world isn't flat, set off walking/swimming in the same direction and one day you'll end up back at home. To prove you can't match music to wine, try listening to Mozart's Requiem with a Findus crispy pancake. And if I was 50, I'd have fallen asleep by now. (Sorry Oldies- you know I love you really- you've got the most disposable income!)

I have been experimenting late into the night with various matches of wine and music. In fact it's my new hobby. I'm rubbish at tennis, the Bonsai's not growing, but I'm bloody good at drinking and listening to music! I'm not suggesting that you close your eyes and savour the wine until either the album or the bottle is finished, this is more about sharing a snapshot in time when wine and music- and you- become one.

The website will feature a weekly line-up of matches for you to try out. If you come in and buy one of the featured bottles (or order on-line), we'll knock 79p off the price, which will cover the cost of downloading the track from iTunes. Then hotfoot home, dim the lights, and press play.

You'll be able to rate my matches on the website and suggest your own, with a prize given to the match of the month. So come and lose yourself (in the roadworks) and give it a go. If all goes to plan, I'll be touring with Kylie by the end of the year!
